SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria
SSC GD Education Qualification
To be eligible for the SSC GD Constable should have passed 10th class or equivalent from a recognized board.
SSC GD Age Limit (As on 01-01-2026)
The age limit for Clerk and Clerk IT is 18 years to 23 years. For OBC Category candidates maximum age limit is 26 years and For SC/ST category Candidates is 28 years.
- Minimum Age Limit : 18 Years
- Maximum Age Limit : 23 Years
- The upper age limit is relaxed up to 26 years for other Backward Classes.
- The upper age limit is relaxed up to 28 years for SC/ST Category candidates.

Salary
The initial salary of a GD Constable is ₹23,527 per month with a basic pay of ₹21,700, which can go up to ₹69,100. For Sepoy in NCB, the pay scale is ₹18,000 to ₹56,900 (Level 1).
