Educational Qualification/ Age Limit/ Salary For Punjab Agricultural University :

Patwari – Bachelor degree in any stream from recognized University with Punjabi up to
Matric level.
Computer Operator – Graduate in Computer Science/ Information Technology/Computer Application (minimum 60%) or equivalent. OR Master’s in Information Technology / Computer Applications (minimum 60%) or equivalent.
Carpenter – 10+2 with 2 years diploma certificate from ITI or other recognized Institution in the trade of Carpenter with four years experience in Carpentry job with
knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric level. OR Matric with 2 years Diploma certificate from ITI or other recognized Institution in the trade of Carpenter with six years experience in the field of Carpentry job with knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric level.
OR Matric with eight years experience in the field of Carpentry job in reputed organization with knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric level.
District Extension Specialist (Agronomy) – B.Sc (Agri.)/B.Sc.(Hort.)/B.Sc.(Forestry)/B.Sc/B.Sc. Biotechnology in Plant Sciences or B.Tech Biotechnology in Plant Sciences. Master’s degree in Agronomy. At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.0 at Master’s level. Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET).
Accounts Officer – At least second class Graduate or an M.A. or equivalent of a recognized University. Must have passed SAS Examination held by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India/ State Finance Department OR Higher Standard Departmental Examination conducted by the PAU.
Administrator cum Account Office – At least Graduate. Must have passed SAS Examination or Higher Standard Departmental Examination conducted by PAU for its own employees.
Programme Assistant (Lab. Technician) – B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.) from the recognized University
Farm Manager – B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.) from the recognized University
Assistant Professor (Home Science) – B.Sc. (Home Science). Master’s degree in any discipline of Home Science. At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level. Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in relevant discipline.
Assistant Professor (Plant Protection) – B.Sc(Agri.)/B.Sc(Hort.)/B.Sc(Froestry)/B.Sc(Med)/B.Sc(Hons)/ B.Sc. Biotechnology/B.Sc Biotechnology in Plant Sciences or B.Tech Biotechnology in Plant Sciences. Master’s degree in Entomology. At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level.
Assistant Professor (Computer Engg.) – B.tech / M.tech and Atleast 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level. Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET)
Assistant Professor (Physics) – Bachelor’s Degree with Physics. Master’s Degree in Physics. At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level. Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in relevant discipline.
Scientist (Seed Production) – B.Sc.(Agri.)/B.Sc. (Hons)/B.Sc. (Hort.)/ B.Sc. (Forestry)/B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/ B.Sc. Biotechnology in plant science or B.Tech. in plant sciences. Master’s degree in Plant Breeding/Vegetable Crops/Agronomy/Seed Science &
Technology. At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level. Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET)
Vegetable Scientist – B.Sc. (Agri.)/B.Sc. (Hort.)/B.Sc. (Forestry)/B.Sc.(Med)/B.Sc. Biotechnology in Plant Sciences or B.Tech Biotechnology in Plant Sciences. M.Sc. in Olericulture/Vegetable Crops/Horticulture(Vegetable Science). At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level. Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET)
Comptroller – Graduation. Must have 9 years experience in a supervisory capacity in financial management/administration out of which he/she must have 4 years experience of Accounts Officer/Deputy Registrar or equivalent in Govt./Public Sector preferably in a
University.
Additional Director Comm. – At least second division at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level. Ph.D. in any branch of Agriculture/Journalism/ Mass Communication/ Journalism and Mass Communication /Languages/Social Sciences. However, candidate(s) with Master’s degree in above subjects having outstanding contributions can also be considered. 12 Years Experience.
Additional Director of Extension Education – B.Sc./B.Sc.(Agri)/B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Tech./B.VSc/B.V.Sc& A.H. at least with second division. Ph.D in any discipline of Agriculture with good academic record.
Nanotechnologist (physics) – B.Sc.(Non-Medical or Medical). Master’s degree in Physics. At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.0 at Master’s level. Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in relevant discipline.
Oilseed Breeder – B.Sc.(Agriculture)/B.Sc.(Horticulture)/B.Sc(Forestry)/B.Sc.(Med)/B.Sc. Biotechnology in plant Sciences or B.Tech Biotechnology in plant sciences. Master’s degree in Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding & Genetics/Genetics (Crop
Plants). At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.0 at Master’s level. Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in relevant discipline.
Agriculture Economist – B.Sc.(Agri.)/ B.A with Economics/B.Sc. (Hons) Economics/B.Sc. Agri.(Hons)/ B.Sc. Economics/B.Sc. Hort./B.Sc (Forestry)/B.Sc. (Agri.-MaCo)/B.Com/Bachelor in Business Administration/Bachelor in Business Economics.
Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics/Economics/Business Economics.
At least 60% marks at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of
10.0 at Master’s level. Must have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) in relevant discipline.

Must have passed Matric level certificate of Punjabi language from Punjab School
Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or second language). This is necessary for all posts.
