SSC MTS Age Limit (As on 1.8.2025)

The age limits for both SSC MTS and Havaldar posts, as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments, are as follows:

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):
A candidate must be at least 18 years old and not more than 25 years old.

Havaldar:
A candidate must be at least 18 years old and not more than 27 years old.

• Age relaxation for OBC Category Candidates is 3 Years.
• Age relaxation for SC/ST Category Candidates is 5 Years.
• All other category relaxations as per rules by govt. of India.

SSC MTS 2025 Exam Pattern

• Stage 1- Paper-1 (Objective)
• Stage 2- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar)

SSC MTS 2025 Salary (Pay Scale)

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct a competitive examination for the recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in Pay Band-1 of ₹5200–₹20,200 with Grade Pay ₹1800.
As per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), the revised pay scale corresponds to Pay Level-1 in the Pay Matrix. This is a General Central Service Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post under various Ministries, Departments, and Offices of the Government of India, across different States and Union Territories.

According to the 7th CPC, the in-hand salary for an SSC MTS employee generally ranges between ₹18,000 and ₹22,000 per month, depending on the job role and the city of posting (categorized as X, Y, or Z class cities).
