About PSTET:

PSTET (Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test) is manadatory exam to get a teaching job in Punjab. This exam is taken annually by the Punjab education board. The PSTET exam is conducted in two levels: Paper I and Paper II.Paper I is for those candidates who want to become primary teachers for training 1st class to fifth class, even as Paper II is for those candidates who want to be Middle/High School/ Secondary School Teachers for 6th to 12th class. Candidates can also appear for each paper if they need to train at both stages.

The PSTET(Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test) is a multiple-choice question-based exam. Aspirants need 60% marks to pass it. The test contains 150 questions and the duration of the test is two and half hours.

The Punjab School Education Board released the examination date for PSTET 2024. The Eligibility criteria like qualification etc. will be annoucened in April. According to the old notificaiton candidates who have completed their graduation with at least 50% marks and their B.Ed. from a recognized university are eligible for PSTET 2024. The age limit for the Punjab TET exam is 18 to 37 years, and there is age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories. The Date of PSTET Exam 2024 is 26 may 2024.
